February 1^st marked the official beginning of the new promoters taking over the Santa Maria Speedway. Ruben and Katy Munoz, doing business as Dirt Oval Industriez , have begun the hard work needed to get the season started on time.

So right away there is activity going on at the track. Crews were out on Friday replacing banners and tractors were busy fixing access roads. Work will continue on the parking lot and both Pit areas.  Ruben and Katy had a nice group of volunteers pitching in to help on day one.

We will keep you informed on track drying developments and progress on the parking lot. Ruben was confident that with the early start and support of sponsors and volunteers that the Santa Maria Speedway will be able to start the season on time.
